45 Sessions, Laying Low & Thanks

The devil has been layin' low over here at in the bloggie world. See, i took the last 3 days off from work for My b-day and i've been trying to enjoy myself and trying to stay away from idiot boxes (computer - TV)and now i have a wedding to attend out out of town today so my comp access has been and will be limited but let me steal a few second here this LATE Sat. mourn and get a few words in... 1st thanks to all the kind folks that called or send me b-day wishes, friends & family alike. i love you all. I've really had a great Birthday and I've done TONS of record digging while on this little b-day celebration vacation. the JJB and i have been all over NJ & PA and dig up some nice scores, of all varieties, which i'd like to post up at some point but not today. We also spent a lot of our time eating out and doing a bit of social drinking, as well as long walks on the boardwalk... 2nd, thanks to DJ prestige over at Flea Market Funk for asking me to DJ at last nights 45 sessions. i was planning on attending but DJ Pres didn't ask me till the last minuet to DJ so i figured i'd change it up and did an all old school hip hop & rap set spun EXCLUSIVELY on 45. It was a GREAT night at the Asbury Lanes last night with all the DJ's spinning great stuff but Pres took the cake with his ROCK mix set and right into the funky stuff. Killer. and although he didn't spin it is always a pleasure to catch up w/ dJ Jack The Ripper. We talked punk rock all night! Mutha Records anyone??? The 45 Killer spun some insane African Funk, Larry Grogan always kills it and it was cool to see he finally got that Eddie Holland 45! M-fasis and DJ prime Cuts were all on point and even in the crowd was a bit thin it really was a great night. No fans were injured.
Here is what i spun:

Chase - Open Up Wide - Epic
Kurtis Blow - The Breaks - Mercury
Rob Base & D.J. E-Z Rock - It Takes Two - Profile
J.J. Fad - Supersonic - Ruthless
Beastie Boys - Paul Revere - Def Jam
Rub DMC - Mary Mary - Profile
Ice-T - Colors - Warner Brothers
L.L. Cool j - Going Back to Cali - Def Jam
Biz Markie - Just a Friend - Cold Chillin'
Salt-N-Pepper - Push It - Next Plateau
Newcleus - Jam on It - Sunnyview
Luke featuring 2 Live Crew - Banned in the U.S.A. - Luke Records

Dig it!?!?

Anywho, i hope to be back soon and start getting into the October swing of things with some Spooky and Kooky Halloween oriented 45 cuts!!! as well as a spooktacular collaboration w/ the red boy coming soon as well!!!

Cheers!
